Blackjack Nordic Ski

In preparation for upcoming selection races at the US National Championships, Black Jack Ski Team has spent the past week in “Nordic Town USA” (Sun Valley, Idaho). Sun Valley is a beautiful area with rolling high altitude mountains and bluebird skies. The network of trails covers over 200KM of groomed trails. Blackjack offers 20 trails, 2 Half Pipes & 2 snowboarding park and Nastar racing on 101 skiable acres with 360 total acres with vertical drop of 465 ft. There are snowboard lessons and rental, a ski school, children’s programs and a nursery available. New to Blackjack is a “Just For Kids” beginner area. Family lift tickets are available. Season pass holders will get to enjoy more than just Blackjack during their ski season as the resort is owned and operated together with Little Switzerland and Nordic Mountain. With a vertical drop of over 460 feet, Blackjack Ski Resort offers up over 125 skiable acres. RNSC trail policies and fees are in effect. Please note: The dog loop is not ready to ski at this time. The office is open during the week 9am-4pm. Rentals are available. We recommend beginners wait until the lower trails open and the conditions are more consistent. Youth Programs Update: December 1st, 2020. The skiing is done in laps with bouts of shooting between each lap. Actual lap times are in the 6 to 10 minute range and with 4 types of races there are races for everyone. Training is also fun with participation and training in complementary sports such as cycling, kayaking, swimming, weight training, and trail running.

In Big Snow Country, the most affordable pricing and value can be found at Blackjack. This is a place that is devoted entirely to the customer experience. 20 trails spread across a 465 ft. vertical with enough challenging runs for the experienced and enough beginner level runs to be accessible. Blackjack offers a terrain park, night skiing and ski school for those strapping on the equipment for the first time. The runs here are dynamic and interesting, running up to .4 miles long.
